Where do I get help with a specific game or app?
Each game has its own help page: Bill’s Sudoku, Kingside Chess Club, Lily’s Minesweeper, Jade Haven Mahjong, Wella’s Garden Quest, Night Mile, Break Royale, Rydasta: Moto Racing, Solitaire: Lost Atlas, Vovos, Lumibrix, Veltrique, Asterhold, and Aeronivra.
Our apps have dedicated help pages too: Simoy Marine, Solstice, DraftPro, and JPAM Reviewer. You can also email [email protected] at any time.
Are the games free?
All our games offer free browser play with no time limit: Bill’s Sudoku (Easy and Medium); Kingside Chess Club (online play, the Daily Puzzle, lessons, Watch, and Beginner bots); Lily’s Minesweeper; Jade Haven Mahjong; Wella’s Garden Quest; Night Mile; Break Royale; Rydasta: Moto Racing; Solitaire: Lost Atlas; Vovos; Lumibrix; Veltrique; and Asterhold and Aeronivra, which are entirely free.
The apps include 30 days of full access. After that, the free features remain available, and a single one-time purchase permanently unlocks the rest. In Kingside, this includes all 20 bots and the Kingside Engine, every puzzle mode, Game Review, Pass & Play, and saved games.
There are no subscriptions or ads. Payments are handled by the App Store or Google Play.
Which devices are supported?
Bill’s Sudoku and Kingside Chess Club are available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Android versions are coming soon.
Bill’s Sudoku also runs in any modern browser. Kingside Chess Club, Lily’s Minesweeper, Jade Haven Mahjong, Wella’s Garden Quest, Night Mile, Break Royale, Rydasta: Moto Racing, Solitaire: Lost Atlas, Vovos, Lumibrix, Veltrique, Asterhold, and Aeronivra run in any modern browser and can also be installed directly from the browser on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android.
How do I restore a purchase or request a refund?
Select “Restore purchase” inside the game while signed in to the Apple Account or Google account used for the original purchase.
Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or by Google through Google Play.
Why has my progress disappeared?
Games save progress on your device. Clearing your browser data, using a private browsing window, or deleting the app can reset it.
For Kingside Chess Club online play, your player profile is stored on the device where you created it. If you clear that browser’s data, you’ll need to create a new profile.
How do I remove my name from the Minesweeper leaderboard?
Email [email protected] with your player name and country, and we’ll remove your leaderboard entry within 30 days.
You can also play as a guest to keep everything on your device.
How do I delete my Kingside online account?
In Kingside, open Settings and select “Delete online account” under your name. You can also find this option on your own profile under Play → Online. It is available in both the app and the web version.
Alternatively, email [email protected] with your username, and we’ll delete your online account within 30 days.
Who are the online opponents in Kingside Chess Club?
Kingside matches you with real players first. If no one is waiting for your chosen time control, you’ll be matched with one of Kingside’s computer players.
Computer players are always identified by a “Computer” label next to their name—on the board, in results, on their profile, and on the leaderboard. Games against them are rated just like games against real players. Any player without the “Computer” label is a real person.
How do online rooms work in Asterhold, Break Royale, and Rydasta?
Create a room and share its code with friends. Anyone with the code can join. In Asterhold and Break Royale, room codes contain five letters and include an invite link.
Rooms remain active only while players are in them and are discarded when the last player leaves.
Our servers receive only the information needed for play: the name you enter and your in-game moves, plus your country, motorcycle, and track position in Rydasta. For details, see the privacy policy for Asterhold, Break Royale, or Rydasta.
Where do the headlines on the News page come from, and how can I report a problem?
The Newsroom displays headlines from publishers whose published terms permit this use. Each headline names the source and links to the original article.
If a headline is incorrect, or you represent a publisher and would prefer your publication not to be listed, email [email protected]. We’ll correct or remove it, normally within one business day.
A film on the Movies page won’t play. What can I do?
Films stream within the page from the Internet Archive or Blender’s official channel. An ad blocker or strict privacy setting may prevent the player from loading.
Try allowing archive.org and youtube-nocookie.com for jpam.studio, or use the link beneath the player to watch the film at its source.
Every film is free to watch, and its licence is displayed on its page. If you hold rights to a film and believe it is listed in error, email [email protected] and we’ll remove it promptly.
Where does the music on the Music page come from, and why is it free?
JPAM Studio Originals are our own compositions, written for Kingside Chess Club, Bill’s Sudoku, Jade Haven, and Wella’s Garden Quest, and recorded directly from the games. They are free to listen to on the site and remain © JPAM Studio. Please ask permission before reusing them.
All other tracks are either public-domain recordings, such as Musopen’s Chopin recordings and the Open Goldberg Variations, or music released under Creative Commons licences that permit streaming with attribution. Featured artists include Kevin MacLeod, Komiku, Jason Shaw, Broke For Free, and Eric Skiff.
Audio streams from the Internet Archive; no audio files are stored on jpam.studio. Each track displays its licence and links to its source page. Your favourites and recently played list are stored in your browser.
If a track won’t play, your ad blocker may be blocking archive.org. Allow it for jpam.studio, or open the track at its source.
Artists or rights holders who believe a track is listed in error can email [email protected], and we’ll remove it promptly.
How does Radio work, and why can’t I find a station?
Open Music → Radio, choose a country, and press play. Stations are listed through Radio Browser, a free community directory, and stream live from each broadcaster’s own server.
We only list stations with secure HTTPS streams because browsers block insecure streams on secure pages. This means some well-known stations may not appear.
If a station won’t play, it may be offline or may not support web players. Try another station. Select the heart to save a station to “Your stations” on this device.
Broadcasters who would prefer not to be listed can email [email protected].
Are the books on the Books page really free?
Yes. Every title is either in the public domain in the United States—for example, books first published before 1930—or available under an open licence. Each title explains why it is free.
For most books, “Start reading” opens the book directly on Standard Ebooks. Project Gutenberg titles open on their book page, where you can select “Read online (web)”.
You can read in your browser or download an available format suited to your device, such as EPUB for most e-readers and phones, or a Kindle-compatible format. “My shelf” saves your selections on this device.
How does the Daily Sudoku work?
Open “Daily puzzles” to play. Everyone receives the same puzzle each day, with a new puzzle available at midnight according to your device’s clock.
Monday and Tuesday puzzles are Easy, Wednesday and Thursday puzzles are Medium, and Friday through Sunday puzzles are Hard.
Solving today’s puzzle adds one day to your streak. Puzzles from the past week remain available for practice but do not count towards your streak.
Your progress and streak are stored in this browser. Clearing its data or switching devices means starting fresh.
